Quantitative Evaluations on the Query Modeling and System Integrating Cost of SQL/MDR

Abstract: SQL/MDR is a metadata registry query language used to consistently exchange and share the data between distributed metadata registries. It is an extension of the international SQL and is familiar to most database builders and administrators. It provides many advantages such as simplicity of query language, ease of use, an independent description for distributed querying, low cost for adding new systems, simplicity of exchanging mechanism, and so on. The goal of this paper is to evaluate and show its merits qua… Show more

“…GIS Engine also provides attribute operation and spatial operation for zoom in, zoom out, area magnification, and movement as basic functions. It consists of GIS Query Processing Engine (GIS/QPE), GIS API Processing Engine (GIS/GAPE), and GIS Client (Jeong, Kim, & In, 2005). Spatial database management system based on R-Tree and R * -Tree is implemented for storage and access of spatial information.…”

“…Indeed, WordNet contains a good coverage of both the lexical and conceptual palettes of the English language [6,7,8,9,10,11]. Hence, we use the characteristics and advantages to design the new RFID system model providing a seamless inter-changing mechanism between the sensed data from the sensors or tags in different and various sensor/application fields [4,5,12]. …”
