Abstract:Quantitative analyses were performed of the fluctuations in the light-scattering intensities associated with micrometer-size glycerol droplets containing spherical latex inclusions. Scattering intensities at two angles (the near-forward and near-backward directions) were measured as a function of time. We analyzed these signals using two techniques. We find that calculated autocorrelation time constants associated with these signals are not consistent with current models that are based on interference of light… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
