Abstract:Motivated by recent experimental measurement of the intrinsic excitonic wave-function in 2D Transition-metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) by angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES), we developed a theoretical study to resolve some characteristics of these excitons and some of the many open issues in these systems. The system is assumed to be embedded in an environment with average dielectric constant κ, below which electrostatic interactions in the corresponding TMD layer are screened. We adopt the long ra… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
