Quasinormal modes and Hawking radiation of a charged Weyl black hole

Abstract: We study the scalar field system over a charged Weyl black hole, which is depicted by a parameter λ. Under the perturbation of scalar field, the system is unstable for zero angular number, but stable for non-zero one. We are specially interested in the propeties of QNM spectra, dynamical evolution and Hawking radiation for the modes with non-zero angular number, which discloses some peculiar properties of this charged Weyl black hole. What is remarkable is that an exponential decay obviously emerges in the pha… Show more

“…The PS method, which is a fully numerical technique, is highly effective in determining QNFs. It has been widely utilized in various studies [29,30,64,[66][67][68][69][70][71][72][73], particularly for identifying high overtone modes [30]. The fundamental principle of the PS approach is to discretize the differential equations and subsequently solve the resultant generalized eigenvalue equations.…”

“…Therefore, in this paper, we primarily utilize the WKB method as a cross-check, specifically for determining fundamental modes. For higher overtones, we commonly resort to the PS method-a fully numerical approach renowned for its power in determining QNFs [29,30,64,[66][67][68][69][70][71][72][73]. Nevertheless, it is essential to note that, like many numerical methods, the PS method may be time-consuming compared to the semi-analytic WKB method.…”
