Abstract: A quaternary composite adsorbent of chitosan-polyvinyl alcohol/food grade algae/ montmorillonite clay (CS-PVA/FGA/MMT) was synthesized by hydrothermal process to be a promising adsorbent for the removal of cationic methyl violet 2B dye (MV 2B).
