Quick-start CMOS voltage reference for positive LDOs

Abstract

The paper presenits a quick-start CMOS voltage reference built within a positive LDO processed in a double-metal 0.5 umn CMOS technology. The reference consumes 10,8A, while delivering a stable output voltage of +1.25V. The quick-start feature allows the active charging of an external 10nF bypass capacitor within 200,is. Power Supply Rejection Ratio is 100dB at low frequencies, while typical TC is 20ppm/C, and untrimmed VREF spread 25m V (±3 a).
