Racemization of Lens Crystalline Constituents in UV-lnduced Cataract Evaluated by Chiral GC/MS Spectroscopy

Abstract: The racemization of amino acids is hypothesized to caust cataract by disrupting the crystalline’s tertiary structure which, in turn, alters the optical characteristics of the lens.
