Radiation and chemical reaction effects on MHD flow along a moving vertical porous plate

Abstract: This paper presents an analysis of the effects of magnetohydrodynamic force and buoyancy on convective heat and mass transfer flow past a moving vertical porous plate in the presence of thermal radiation and chemical reaction. The governing partial differential equations are reduced to a system of self-similar equations using the similarity transformations. The resultant equations are then solved numerically using the fourth order Runge-Kutta method along with the shooting technique. The results are obtained f… Show more

“…Ahmed et al 27 and Ahmed 28 investigated the consequences of heat sink and chemical reaction on MHD flow. In the context of chemical reaction and thermal radiation, Reddy et al 29 looked into the influence of buoyancy and MHD force upon convective heat and mass transport flow across a movable upright permeable plate. Komaravolu et al 30 studied the influence of viscous dissipation and spanwise cosinusoidally fluctuating temperature on MHD‐free convective boundary layer flow with radiation absorption and chemical reaction.…”

“…Naramgari and Sulochana [2] analyzed the chemical reaction and thermal radiation effects on a two-dimensional MHD steady flow toward a stretchable sheet using injection/suction. By using a chemical reaction, Reddy et al [3] analyzed the impacts of MHD and buoyancy forces through rotating vertically porous plates. Mishra and Jena [4] explored steady twodimensional incompressible, laminar, and electrically conducted fluids toward a stretchable sheet using magnetic fields and the viscous dissipation effect.…”

“…Ahmed et al 23 presented the impact of Soret and Dufour mechanism on heat and mass transport of a viscous liquid. Ramana Reddy et al 24 examined the MHD flow passing through a movable vertical penetrable plate under the influence of radiation along with chemical reaction effects. Reddy 25 elucidated Soret–Dufour influence on the MHD free convective motion over a straight penetrable plate.…”
