“…The combined effect of residual-strain and high fraction of special boundaries on sensitisation in GBE austenitic SS is investigated. In a previous study [42], specimens of type 304 SS (in the asreceived condition) with prior cold-work were subjected to a 5% strain followed by strain-annealing at different combinations of time and temperature. In the present investigation, the AR material was given two solution-annealing heat-treatments to reduce the level of prior cold-work and to increase the grain size.…”
