Radio Direction Finding

Abstract: Radio direction finding (DF) is a technique for estimating radiowave angle of arrival (AoA) and is based on prior knowledge of the antenna responses versus AoA. Traditional DF systems exploit rotating antennas or sampled antenna arrays for which the antenna response patterns are very carefully controlled to provide support for closed‐form DF solutions or for the development of steered beams.
