Radioactive decay of232Th

Abstract: The decay of 232Th has been studied using high-resolution Ge and Si surface barrier detectors. Th was radiochemically purified from its daughter products for a-and yspectroscopic studies. Two y-rays with energies 63.8 and 140.8 keV were assigned to the decay of 232Th. The relative y-ray intensities, total transition intensities and a branchings to the first two excited states of z2xRa due to the a decay of 232Th have been estimated.
