Radiological Findings of Breast Inflammation

Abstract

Inflammatory breast diseases are inflammations of the mammary parenchymal tissue caused by infectious, non-infectious, and underlying tumor-related factors. The breast is a superficial organ, and clinically recognizing breast inflammation is relatively easy. However, it should be kept in mind that malignant conditions underlying similar symptoms can also occur. Patients diagnosed with breast inflammation should undergo diagnostic and follow-up procedures using radiological imaging methods. The aim of this article is to describe the radiological findings of breast inflammation.
