Abstract: This article examines the contribution of medical diagnostic imaging within forensic investigation. It details the different techniques that may be used and explores how they may be employed by the forensic physician, pathologist, odontologist, scientist and crime scene investigator to determine the cause of death or injury, to identify inividuals and to detect concealed or embedded objects.
