Radiotherapy‐induced subclinical skin changes revealed by dynamic optical coherence tomography: a case‐controlled pilot study

Abstract: Sclareolide is an active ingredient from clary sage. 8 Sclareolide inhibits TRPV1 and TRPV4, 8 which are involved in sensitive skin. 9 Our study has some limitations, mainly the absence of a control group. Nonetheless, the tested cream showed efficacy on sensitive skin symptoms as well as a significant improvement in the thresholds of cutaneous sensitivity to heat.
