“…As far as we know, this is the first report on the Raman spectrum of Bi 2 Sr 2 O 5 and it is not easy to make a quantitative assignment for these observed modes. However, from the analysis of the previous experimental observations in a-Bi 2 O 3 [16,21] and other Bicontained oxides [22][23][24], we believe that the modes with shift below 400 cm À1 are related to the Bi-O bonds in the compound. The two modes centered at 560 and 650 cm À1 at normal pressure are attributed to the Sr-O bond.…”
