“…Particularly, the pre‐Hispanic pottery of north‐western Argentina has focused the attention of many researchers in last decades. Essentially, they have explored the technological processes involved in the manufacture of ceramics such as the selection of raw materials, final product properties and potential uses of these pieces (Baldini et al, 2005; Centeno et al, 2011; Cremonte et al, 2003, 2007; De La Fuente et al, 2015, 2021; Lantos et al, 2017; López et al, 2013; Ratto et al, 2020). A detailed review of this background enabled us to detect that most works have been centred on particular pottery styles, usually connected with cultures inhabited the region such as La Aguada, Belén, Santa María, San José, Inka, among others (Acevedo et al, 2015; Bertolino et al, 2008, 2016; Bugliani et al, 2012; Cremonte et al, 2003; De la Fuente et al, 2005, 2015; De la Fuente & Pérez Martínez, 2018, 2008; Galván Josa et al, 2010; Marte et al, 2012; Palamarczuk et al, 2020; Puente et al, 2019, 2023).…”
