Raman scattering in glassy Li2B4O7 doped with Er2O3

Abstract: We study Raman scattering spectra for glassy lithium tetraborate with different concentrations of doping erbium ions. Most of the vibrational modes found for the activated Li 2 B 4 O 7 :Er 2 O 3 glasses in the medium-scale range are caused by mixed and normal modes of compound boron-oxygen, erbium-oxygen and lithiumoxygen structural complexes.
