“…Capillary zone electrophoresis was used by various researchers (Kubalczyk & Bald, 2009;Li, Cheng & Tseng, 2009;Mendoza et al, 2009;Yan et al, 2009;Chang & Tseng, 2010;Shen, Tseng & Hsieh, 2012;Tsardaka et al, 2013;Wang et al, 2014a;Wang et al, 2014b), but it does not appear to offer a specific advantage in terms of sensitivity when used alone without derivatization (Kubalczyk & Bald, 2009;Mendoza et al, 2009;Yan et al, 2009;Tsardaka et al, 2013;Wang et al, 2014a;Wang et al, 2014b). However, it surely allowed shorter analysis times.…”

“…Combined multidimensional UV‐photometric, fluorometric and contactless conductometric single point detector was developed using light emitting diodes at 255 or 470 nm as light sources, optical fibers as light guides and a miniature photomultiplier tube (for 255 nm) or silicone photodiode with preamplifier (for 470 nm) as detectors for photometric and fluorescence detection modes, respectively 164. Two 10 mm long metal tubes with id 0.406 mm and 7 mm gap between them served as electrodes of contacless conductivity detector.…”

“…CZE with UV‐detection at ultralow UV detection wavelength 185 nm enhancing sensitivity of this detection mode has been developed for fast simultaneous analysis of GSH and GSSG in the roots and shoots of tomato plants grown under normal or stressful (exposed to copper) conditions 164. Using 300 mM borate BGE, pH 7.6, in bare FS capillary (75 μm id, 40/30 cm) and 25 kV separation voltage the separation of GSH and GSSG was achieved within 3 min.…”

“…7 Therefore, it is very important to monitor the GSH concentration. To date, various methods for measuring GSH have been developed, including fluorescence-electroanalysis (FL-EC), 8 liquid chromatography (LC), 9 liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS), 10 capillary electrophoresis (CE), 11 electroanalysis (EC), 12 and electrochemiluminescence (ECL). 13 Conventional methods for detecting the cellular GSH concentration typically utilize thiol-sensitive organic fluorophores.…”
