Rapid diagnosis and measurement of explosively formed projectiles based on high-quality sequential images

Abstract: The explosively formed projectile (EFP) is an important type of warhead technology. To verify and evaluate its design and performance, EFP testing is an essential procedure. This work applies a newly developed dual-color laser photographic system (DCLPS) to diagnose the EFP in a flight. The main concepts of the DCLPS and image measurement theory are introduced in detail.
