Rapid Synthesis of Phthalonitrile based Push‐Pull Bent Dibenzodioxin and its Utility in Selective Sensing of Ferric Ions

Abstract:A phthalonitrile‐based bent shaped push‐pull dibenzodioxin was synthesized using an efficient and rapid monowave reactor‐assisted protocol in acceptable yields. When aqueous Fe3+ ion solution was added to the bent dibenzodioxin in dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO), the fluorescence intensity of bent dibenzodioxin at 450 nm was quenched significantly.
