Rassialisierungen widerstehen. Subjektivierung von Frauen of Color in und jenseits der Schule

Abstract

Based on poststructuralist theories of subjectivation and racialization, this article examines how experiences of racism at school and (digital) resistance practices interact in the subjectivation of young women of Color. Based on two case studies, each consisting of a biographical interview and a social media post, insights into different forms of racializing subjectivation in school and social media and possible resistance strategies are generated. Racializing subjectivation is summarised as a gradual phenomenon in which subjugation and resistance interact over time.
