Subject. This article analyzes the factors influencing the disproportions in the socio-economic development of rural areas and the quality of life of the rural population of the Krasnoyarsk Krai.
Objectives. The article aims to identify the most prosperous municipal districts of the Krasnoyarsk Krai in terms of the level of socio-economic development of rural areas.
Methods. For the study, I used grouping and a descriptive statistics analysis.
Results. The article presents a rating of municipal districts of the Krasnoyarsk Krai by level of socio-economic development of rural areas. In 2020–2022, more than 59 percent of the rural population lived in areas characterized by a low level of socio-economic development. Rural areas differ most from each other in terms of economic development, the availability of consumer service infrastructure, as well as the rate of migration.
Conclusions. To reduce various disparities, it is necessary to involve more stakeholders in solving issues of improving the quality of life of rural residents. It is necessary to form a unified information base of rural settlements with a list of socio-economic infrastructure facilities, it is necessary to develop systems projects for the development of rural areas.
