Abstract:Salicylate plays a pivotal role as a pharmaceutical intermediate in drugs, such as aspirin and lamivudine. The low catalytic efficiency of key enzymes and the inherent toxicity of salicylates to cells pose significant challenges to large-scale microbial production.
