Abstract:Near-infrared (NIR) dyes are used in various applications such as organic solar cells and photodynamic therapy sensitizers. One example of a class of dyes, octa-arylthio-substituted phthalocyanines (Pcs), can effectively absorb NIR light above 800 nm.
