“…The cluster of Rb–Sr biotite ages around 135 Myr, which characterize the upper part of the high‐grade metamorphites and the adjacent tonalites, coincides with Rb–Sr, K–Ar and 40 Ar– 39 Ar biotite and muscovite ages obtained along shear zones affecting the granitoids of Palmi (Rottura, 1985), and the metamorphites in the Peloritani range (Atzori et al , 1990) and in Kabylia (Cheilletz et al , 1999). It is noteworthy that in Kabylia a 40 Ar– 39 Ar muscovite age of 128 Myr was related to ductile extensional tectonics (Cheilletz et al , 1999).…”
