RCSDN: A Distributed Balanced Routing Algorithm with Optimized Cluster Distribution

Abstract: Abstract-In this paper we will present a distributed balanced routing algorithm with optimized cluster distribution. According to the previous clustering algorithms, selection conditions for the cluster head (CH) were either accidentally evaluated or evaluated based on some parameters regardless of the state of a node or its neighbors. In the presented algorithm a type of mechanism was used in which it performs cluster formation in special conditions with regard of the neighborhood principle and local informat… Show more

“…In HEED, sensors compute a probability of becoming CH, proportional to its residual energy and to a predetermined percentage of CHs and then, every sensor seeks the best CH to connect to. RCSDN [7] is a novel clustering algorithm a base on mean residual energy neighbor node, node come to CHcandidate if residual energy node is most that mean residual energy neighbor node. Some of the clustering algorithms employ fuzzy logic to handle uncertainties in WSNs.…”

“…Data gathered from member nods, before transferring to base station, are controlled in cluster head and then all data are sent to base station as a package (Heinzelman et al, 2002). Ghorbannia Delavar et al (2011) introduced a new hybrid routing algorithm with special parameters in wireless sensor network for network with significant number of sensors. The algorithm selects the cluster heads (CH) based on the scale of average local energy and the density surrounding each node.…”
