“…The volunteer tourism model as presented by Simpson (2004) focused on British young people between the ages of 18 and 20 who take a gap-year between school and university to travel and volunteer to work in developing countries. Apart from the young British, there are persons or groups of persons of other ages of diverse nationalities who also participate in volunteer tourism (Jamie 2021;Mensah et al 2021).
