Background In palliative care, sleep and circadian rhythm problems are common symptoms. Nonpharmacological interventions are available; however, health care providers are not aware of these or lack the knowledge to effectively implement in practice. This study reports the content and design development of the PRIME™ (Program for Improving & Managing Environments for Sleep) sleep online educational intervention as well as the evaluation of the intervention by practicing nurses with a focus on perceived acceptability and satisfaction. Methods Development of the education employed a multi-step process that assesses the current state of the science in this area (literature reviews), the needs of regional target recipients (hospice/palliative care staff), expert recommendations and views of a national pool of hospice/palliative workers. A cross-sectional, descriptive study with key staff informants evaluated the acceptability and usability of the modules using both scale-response items to rate the content and design of the modules and overall satisfaction and five open-response questions to suggest changes to the educational intervention. Results Among 31 palliative care professionals, most rated the content and design favorably. A total of 20 participants provided suggestions to improve the educational intervention. Their comments were categorized into six themes: Integration into Practice; Content, Exercises and Material Provided by Modules; User Interface and Design; and Adapt and Expand Modules for Public, Family and Caregivers. Conclusions The data suggest that the PRIME™ educational intervention can be an effective tool to train direct-care palliative care professionals on interventions for use in their daily practice. We also demonstrated that the educational intervention is feasible to deliver online and that the online modules appealed to respondents, suggesting that future delivery of the educational intervention can use the same or similar modes of presentation.

The system of continuous professional development of doctors in Ukraine needs detailed analysis and comprehensive dynamic monitoring to become a process that includes the possibility of a doctor’s professional growth. The research aims to monitor approaches to the continuous professional development of dentists for the formation and improvement of professional competence skills by highlighting the role of individual educational trajectory based on the priority of work formats with professional information, methods of familiarization with it and its receiving. 2216 respondents took part in the research, filling out a questionnaire during scientific and practical events of professional schools for dentists in online mode in March 2023, which included questions on the definition and objectification of forms, formats, ways of implementing continuous professional development and the vision of approaches to acquiring new knowledge and skills. The data obtained was processed using the StatSoft Inc licence program. Analytical research methods and structural-logical analysis were applied. According to the survey results, an individual's educational trajectory should include attending lectures, professional seminars, working with scientific and practical publications. The main quality requirement for publications is their good illustration of clinical cases and algorithms for working with patients. The analysis results of the rating parameters of professional dental journals declare the request of the dental community to improve the quality of material content, visual design and a possible change in positioning.

Актуальність. Система безперервного професійного розвитку (БПР) лікарів в Україні потребує детального аналізу та всебічного динамічного моніторингу, щоб стати систематичним процесом, що дає можливість зростання професійноcті лікаря шляхом актуалізації індивідуальної освітньої траєкторії. Мета дослідження: аналіз підходів до реалізації системи БПР стоматологів для оптимізації вдосконалення професійних компетенцій, виходячи із пріоритетності форм, форматів та підходів до опрацювання професійної інформації та способів ознайомлення з нею і надходження. Матеріали та методи. Дослідження проводили шляхом опитування 2216 лікарів-стоматологів усіх спеціальностей з різних областей України, які заповнювали анкету-опитувальник, підготовлену ГO «Асоціація стоматологів України», під час науково-практичних заходів та фахових семінарів в онлайн-режимі. Анкета містила соціально-демографічні питання, аспекти визначення та об’єктивізації форм, форматів, способів реалізації БПР та аспекти роботи з професійною інформацією, способи ознайомлення з нею та шляхи її надходження. Опитування та аналіз результатів дослідження відбувалися під керівництвом ГO «Асоціація стоматологів України», групи компаній «MedExpert» та Української рейтингової агенції. Отримані дані обробляли із застосуванням аналітичного методу дослідження та структурно-логічного аналізу. Результати. У питанні актуальності форми заходів БПР 80,96 % опитаних віддають перевагу онлайн-навчанню в режимі реального часу, дистанційній формі — 43,46 %, 17,78 % — аудиторній. Тематичним освітнім семінарам віддають перевагу 67,33 % опитаних. Для 45,44 % респондентів оптимальним є формат з’їздів, симпозіумів та конференцій. Для 45,13 % — навчальні тренінги і майстер-класи, які передбачають аудиторну форму роботи. Оптимальним форматом БПР 31,23 % вважають цикли тематичного вдосконалення на факультетах підвищення кваліфікації. Для 14,17 % найбільш прийнятним є стажування у клініках України, для 13,54 % — за кордоном. 74,28 % потребують у лекторських презентаціях більше клінічних випадків з алгоритмічним розбором та детальним аналізом, 76,35 % у пріоритет ставлять лікувальні схеми та алгоритми діагностики. 24,19 % потребують посилань на наукові інформаційні ресурси. Серед професійних напрямків 51,85 % опитаних у пріоритет ставлять питання ендодонтії, 46,75 % — використання сучасних пломбувальних матеріалів, 35,92 % — пародонтології, 29,06 % — захворювань слизової оболонки порожнини рота, 28,34 % — профілактичної стоматології, 26,17 % — ортопедичної стоматології, 21,48 % — дитячої стоматології. Найоптимальнішим форматом отримання нової професійної інформації, на думку 73,83 % опитаних, є лекції, фахові семінари та науково-практичні заходи, для 50,54 % — книги та методичні рекомендації, 32,63 % — вітчизняні фахові журнали, 13,63 % — закордонні видання, 26,22 % респондентів запозичують досвід в колег. Серед джерел надходження наукової періодики за темою професійного спрямування перевагу надають опрацюванню інтернет-ресурсів. Найбільшу зацікавленість у лікарів викликають публікації із добре ілюстрованими клінічними випадками та структурованими алгоритмами клінічних ситуацій. Серед вітчизняних стоматологічних професійних видань, які користуються популярністю української стоматологічної спільноти і відповідно є найбільш затребуваними із науково-практичної точки зору: «Дент Арт», «Сучасна стоматологія», «Вісник стоматології» та «Оral and General Health». Висновки. За результатами дослідження продемонстровано, що індивідуальна освітня траєкторія є невід’ємною складовою БПР лікаря-стоматолога, що неодмінно має включати відвідування лекцій та фахових семінарів, роботу із науково-практичними публікаціями. Надання переваги електронним варіантам журналів на сайтах видань обумовлено реаліями сьогодення і відповідним форматуванням професійної свідомості сучасного суспільства, що в призмі індивідуальної освітньої траєкторії актуалізує питання мотивації лікаря, бажання та здатності до активної пошукової діяльності. Результати аналізу рейтингових параметрів професійних стоматологічних видань декларують запит стоматологічної спільноти на активізацію маркетингової стратегії періодичних видань в бік поліпшення якісного змісту матеріалів та візуального оформлення. Вищенаведені результати дадуть можливість оптимізації системи безперервного професійного розвитку стоматологів в Україні та створять основу для якісного професійного вдосконалення лікарів з подальшим забезпеченням надання якісних стоматологічних послуг, пов’язаних із бурхливим розвитком науки і новітніх світових технологій.
