Abstract: Phthalimide‐N‐oxyl radicals (PINO) are catalytically active hydrogen abstracting species generated from N‐hydroxyphthalimide (NHPI) — one of the most efficient and widely used organocatalysts for free‐radical oxidative CH‐functionalization processes.
