Re-expression of microRNA-4319 inhibits growth of prostate cancer via Her-2 suppression

Abstract: The growth and chemo-resistance of PC cells may be suppressed via re-expression of miR-4319 that inhibits Her-2 signaling.

“…In this study, miR-4319 was predicted to possess binding capacity with circATXN7 through bioinformatics website, and then validated to bind with circATXN7 in GC cells. The suppressive function of miR-4319 on the development of prostate cancer [29] and breast cancer [30] has been uncovered, but the specific role of miR-4319 in GC and the effect that the interaction of circATXN7 with miR-4319 on GC progression remain unclear. In this research, a low level of miR-4319 was detected in GC tissues and cells.…”

“…MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are a kind of small noncoding RNAs about 22 nucleotides long, which function as oncogenes or cancer‐suppressor genes in a wide spectrum of cancers . Overexpression of miRNA‐4319 hinders prostate cancer cell proliferation through inhibition of HER‐2 expression . Circular RNA circ‐BANP modulates miR‐503/LARP1 signaling to drive lung cancer development .…”

“…Increasing studies focus on the function and underlying mechanism of long non‐coding RNA (lncRNA) in human tumors . As a member of non‐coding RNA (ncRNA) family, lncRNA is defined as the RNA transcripts with a length > 200 nucleotides, which is differentiated from other ncRNAs, such as microRNA and transfer RNA . In general, lncRNA is classified into five groups based on the different gene locations, including antisense lncRNA, intronic transcript, large intergenic noncoding RNA, promoter‐associated lncRNA and UTR associated lncRNA .…”

“…[7][8][9] As a member of non-coding RNA (ncRNA) family, lncRNA is defined as the RNA transcripts with a length > 200 nucleotides, which is differentiated from other ncRNAs, such as microRNA and transfer RNA. [10][11][12][13][14] In general, lncRNA is classified into five groups based on the different gene locations, including antisense lncRNA, intronic transcript, large intergenic noncoding RNA, promoter-associated lncRNA and UTR associated lncRNA. 15 Of these five groups, antisense lncRNA, a type of endogenous lncRNA complementary to the corresponding transcription sequence, comprises 50-70% of all lncRNA.…”
