Reaction of 1,2,5-thiadiazolo[3,4-d]pyrimidine-5,7-dione 2-oxide with water

Abstract: The products of the reaction of 1,2,5-thiadiazolo[3,4-d]pyrimidine-5,7-dione 2-oxide with water, viz. 1,2,5-thiadiazolo[3,4-d]pyrimidine-5,7-dione 2-oxide dihydrate and 6-amino2,4-dioxo-1,2,3,4-tetrahydropyrimidine-5-sulfamic acid, were isolated and characterized by X-ray diffraction.
