Abstract:The HPALD formation in the OH-initiated isoprene oxidation has been revisited. Vibrationally hot peroxy radicals from O2 addition in the α-position of Z,Z′-OH-allyl radicals decompose in a chemically activated manner, efficiently yielding δ-HPALDs.
