Reading Interest and Proficiency of Grade 7 Learners

Abstract: This descriptive-correlational study aimed to assess the reading interest and proficiency of 170 randomly selected Grade 7 learners. It utilized two sets of research instruments—the Learner’s Reading Interest Survey (RIS) and the Philippine Informal Reading Inventory (PHIL-IRI).
