Real Appearance of Dendritic Cell on Failed Implant Fixture

Abstract: accuracy is related to the width (74.7%) of the FM. 31 In Uthman's study, the posterior anterior (length) diameter has the highest accuracy and is contrary to our study. In this study, the results based on Table 4 showed that the age was not correctly determined based on the morphometric analysis of the FM. However, with precise examination in different age groups, it can be concluded that the length and index of FM have a significant relationship with age. But there is no significant relationship between the t… Show more

“…Moreover, the finding of immune cells under TEM analysis and excessive activity of osteoclasts surrounding the bone particles under the light microscope was evidence of the progressing host reaction response and osteolysis process. In one of our pilot studies that examined the removed peri-implantitis-related implant [20], the SEM and TEM images of the dendritic cells (DCs) were recorded on the implant surface and peri-implant inflamed tissue, respectively. In contrast, there was a dominance of macrophages and the absence of DCs in current cases.…”

“…However, the overall success rate of facial implants are considered to be lower than those of placed in the alveolar bone 1 . Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy analysis (EDS) in a failed implant detected titanium particles to the surrounding tissue, suggesting possible insight into the corrosion phenomenon 4 . in the current case, the surface characteristics and the chemical compositions of the failed implant fixture and attached bone tissue were analyzed by SEM and EDS.…”

“…After bacterial entry, the mucosa produces a protective stress reaction, and various immune-related signaling pathways are activated [ 11 , 12 , 13 , 14 , 15 ]. Macrophages [ 16 ], neutrophils [ 17 ], B cells, and T cells [ 18 ] increase. As a result of inherent immunity and adaptive immunity, bacteria and foreign materials are cleaned up.…”

“…As a result of inherent immunity and adaptive immunity, bacteria and foreign materials are cleaned up. Local titanium ions (Ti) [ 17 , 19 , 20 ], occlusion [ 21 ], and systemic factors (such as smoking [ 22 ] and diabetes [ 23 ]) all influence this process. It is normal for organisms to be able to regulate themselves to achieve balance.…”
