Abstract:Investigating nanoplasmonics using time-dependent approaches permits shedding light on the dynamic optical properties of plasmonic structures, which are intrinsically connected with their potential applications in photochemistry and photoreactivity. This work proposes a real-time (RT) extension of our recently developed fully atomistic approaches ωFQ and ωFQFμ. These methods successfully reproduce quantum size effects in metal nanoparticles, including plasmon shifts for both simple and d-metals, even below the… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
