Real time FPGA Implementation of PWM Chopper Fed Capacitor Run Induction Motor

Abstract: <span>This paper presents the performance enhancement of capacitor run induction motor by pulse width modulated AC chopper. The phase angle control faces severe shortfall in the performance improvement for larger triggering angles. In this paper the comparison of phase angle control and sinusoidal pulse width modulation technique is encountered for effective speed control of single phase capacitor run induction motor. The necessary parameters are taken into considerations are higher efficiency, lesser tot… Show more

“…It has after that given towards the engine via DAC when the present pace equates to the actually arranged pace, the actual engine will get begin operating at an arranged pace. Once again, through altering the actually arranged pace, the above-mentioned process is actually repetitive through pushing an additional drive switch change within the FPGA component [27]. The FPGA cyclone II EP2C5T144 is presented in the Figure 3.…”

“…Computer-aided software, like MATLAB/simulink, is important for effective learning of electrical machines courses [1], [2], particularly dynamic models of these machines [3]- [8]. Capturing the dynamic behaviour of electrical machines is important for many aspects, such as speed and angular control of motors [9]- [13].…”

“…A hard ware/software microblaze soft-core based system to generate PWM signal using clock frequency to control the pulse width is presented by [6]. Sinusoidal pulse width modulation system is constructed by [7] to act as AC voltage controller. An iterative reduction based heuristic algorithm with closed loop and space vector PWM control of a Z-source inverter implemented in hardware is discussed in [8].…”
