Real-time mortality statistics during the COVID-19 pandemic: A proposal based on Spanish data, January–March, 2021

Abstract: ObjectivesDuring the COVID-19 pandemic, surveillance systems worldwide underestimated mortality in real time due to longer death reporting lags.
