Real Time Pacemaker Patient Monitoring System Based on Internet of Things

Abstract: Daily, the Internet of things is becoming increasingly popular in the field of remote monitoring as well as the increasing number of patients with cardiac pacemakers, especially those who need a pacemaker. In this research, a new method of monitoring ECG has been developed for patients who are implanting pacemakers. the develop system is the ability to transfer of the display screen that exist in the special website (www.thinger.io) by using the Wi-Fi protocol, Also, helping them to transmit their data over lo… Show more

“…However, a notable limitation of this system is its susceptibility to data spoofing, which poses a security concern. In addition to the applications mentioned earlier, [97]- [103] report several other applications for remote health monitoring, further highlighting the wide range of possibilities in this field.…”

“…This network not only allows for the autonomous detection of abnormal cardiac rhythms but also enables the pacemaker to communicate with patients through haptic feedback, enhancing the care experience by promoting recovery in the comfort of the patient's home [272]. These innovations underscore the potential of integrated monitoring systems in providing sophisticated, patient-centric cardiac care [273][274][275][276].…”

“…For example, pacemakers made by embedded systems are a significant breakthrough for patients with heart disease. These devices can monitor heartbeat and react to cardiac malfunctions [77]. They also register all the data so that doctors can adjust the patient's therapy in a more efficient way.…”
