Real time reliability monitoring of hydro‐power plant by combined cognitive decision‐making technique

Abstract: Summary Hydro power plants are one of the most cost‐effective renewable technologies which have the potential to replace the conventional fuels. However, reliability of the plant varies with time due to irregularity in flow pattern of the river which depends on the pattern of climatic parameters like precipitation and evapo‐transpiration. The reliability of the plant performance also varies with the efficiency of the power equipment and conveyance coefficient of penstock, both of which are time dependent. When… Show more

“…If we increase and decrease the normalized value of each parameter 15-80%, then this condition is called an unlikely scenario [36]. Data are collected for scenario analysis in one day of case-I (pre-monsoon season), case-II (monsoon season) as well as case-III (post-monsoon season) from the WTP [16] and KMWS).…”

“…By increasing and decreasing the first two most crucial elements, the circumstances were created. Increasing and decreasing each parameter's normalized value by 1%–15% is referred to as a plausible scenario in this situation 37 . This situation is said to as an implausible scenario if we vary the normalized value of each parameter by 15%–80% 37 .…”
