The rising popularity of social networks and cloud computing has greatly increased number of JPEG compressed image exchanges. In this context, the security of the transmission channel and/or the cloud storage can be susceptible to privacy leaks. Selective encryption is an efficient tool to mask image content and to protect confidentiality while remaining formatcompliant. However, image processing in the encrypted domain is not a trivial task. In this work, we present a JPEG cryptocompression method which allows us to recompress a JPEG crypto-compressed image several times, without any information about the secret key or the original image content. Indeed, using the proposed method in this paper, each recompression can be done directly on the JPEG bitstream by removing the last bit of the code representation of each non-zero coefficient, adapting the entropic code part, and slightly modifying the quantization table. This method is efficient to recompress JPEG crypto-compressed images in terms of ratio compression. Moreover, the decryption of the recompressed image produces an image with a very similar visual quality when compared to the original image, according to the obtained results.

To avoid delays arising from a need to decrypt a video prior to transcoding and then re-encrypt it afterwards, this paper assesses a selective encryption (SE) content protection scheme. The scheme is suited to both recent standardized codecs, namely H.264/Advanced Video Coding (AVC) and High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC). Specifically, the paper outlines a joint cryptotranscoding scheme for secure transrating of a video bitstream. That is to say it generates new video bitrates, possibly as part of an HTTP Adaptive Streaming (HAS) content delivery network. The scheme will reduce the bitrate to one or more lower desired bitrate without consuming time in the encryption/decryption process, which would be the case when full encryption is used. In addition, the decryption key no longer needs to be exposed at intermediate middleboxes, including when transrating is performed in a cloud datacenter. The effectiveness of the scheme is variously evaluated: by examination of the SE generated visual distortion; by the extent of computational and bitrate overheads; and by choice of cipher when encrypting the selected elements within the bitstream. Results indicate that there remains: a content; quantization level (after transrating of an encrypted video); and codectype dependency to any distortion introduced. A further recommendation is that the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) is preferred for SE to lightweight XOR encryption, despite it being taken up elsewhere as a real-time encryption method.

Having great photos and video phone, but what happens when you decide to buy a new phone or your storage becomes too full to take any more, back it all on the cloud. It's no secret that videos are a valuable way of communicating information. With attention spans dropping and the need to get larger amounts of information across in a shorter period of time, a well-placed video can take your presentation to the next level these presentations need to be up to date and available wherever you are, back it all on the cloud. Better collaboration and communication through the use of cloud as cloud allows users to access the latest versions of any multimedia data (text, video, images, audio, etc), so they can stay on top changes, which can help businesses to better manage their work flow, regardless of geographical location or spread. Multimedia data like videos stored on cloud are vulnerable to various types of threats like known plain text attach, threat to data, denial of service, etc. To overcome these problems videos need to be encrypted before it gets stored on cloud. Encrypting whole video is a time consuming task, to get rid of time complexity videos can be encrypted using selective encryption many researchers in the state of art have proposed techniques for selective image encryption. In this paper, a frame work is proposed for selective encryption of videos in two stages. The first stage is, Region of interest (ROI) identification performed based on Neutrosophic Logic, watershed image segmentation method. Second Stage is ROI encryption which is performed using the proposed Decision Based Encryption (DBE) Algorithm. The proposed frame work is fast, robust, highly scalable and accurate to meet the need of current internet bandwidth and speed.
