Real-time Target Human Tracking using Camshift and LucasKanade Optical Flow Algorithm

Abstract: In this paper, a novel is proposed for real-time tracking human targets in cases of high influence from complexity environment with a normal camera. Firstly, based on Oriented FAST and Rotated BRIEF features, the Lucas-Kanade Optical Flow algorithm is used to track reliable keypoints. This method represents a valuable performance to decline the effect of the illumination or displacement of human targets. Secondly, the area of the human target in the frame is determined more precise by using the Camshift algori… Show more

“…The equation ( 1) is solved by applying the singular-value Decomposition algorithm [33]. It is clear that at least four pairs of the points are utilized to calculate the matrix H. To find four pairs of points which describe the image features, the ORB feature and Brute-force matching method [29,30] is used. In particular, the ORB feature is adopted to search extracted key points from the two images.…”

“…In light of the remarkable importance and advantages previously mentioned, a real-time defect detection system is explored to ensure the quality of the PCBs surface. The proposed method is designed by coupling the ORB feature, the Brute-force matching method [29,30] with the RANSAC algorithm. In particular, the PCB features are extracted and collated with the template data based on the ORB feature.…”

“…To improve the disadvantage of similar color or complex context, a lot of methods are proposed to improve the accuracy of target tracking such as the point-based Kanade Lukas Tomasi colour-flter (PKLTF) [11] is a single-target tracker which is constructed based on the Kanade Lukas Tomasi approach and Meanshift algorithm. It is a robust method that can deal with high appearance changes in the target, occlusion, and loss of the target while the tracking process.…”
