Realization of soliton interaction in 100 Gbps, uncompensated single channel telecommunication system implemented with various telecom fibers

Abstract: In this paper, we demonstrate the effect of soliton interaction in 100 Gbps telecommunication system implemented with four types of practically deployed telecom fibers like conventional single mode fiber, Alcatel's teralight fiber, Lucent's truewave plus fiber (TW+) and large effective area fiber. With the initial relative spacing of in-phase soliton chosen as q = 5.28, the characteristic soliton interaction point and the collision length with respect to various fiber types were studied. The practical undesira… Show more

“…More different from managing solitons by fitting their initial physical nature, recently, Wen-Jun Liu et al aims on fitting parameters to the transmitting fiber, where he picture that the interaction could be controlled by varying dispersion and nonlinear parameter of the fiber. [20][21][22] Following W.J. Liu, we already noted the soliton interaction in 100 Gbps system implemented with various telecom fibers (SMF, LEAF, TRUEWAVE, and TERALIGHT) to study the system performance with different dispersion and nonlinear parameter.…”

“…Ting Sen Ku et al and Ming‐Feng Shih et al explain the avoidance of collision by implementing partially incoherent solitons, where coherence stays as the controlling parameter of interaction. More different from managing solitons by fitting their initial physical nature, recently, Wen‐Jun Liu et al aims on fitting parameters to the transmitting fiber, where he picture that the interaction could be controlled by varying dispersion and nonlinear parameter of the fiber .
