Reasons why Dutch novice nurses leave nursing: A qualitative approach

Abstract: Shortages in the nursing profession are increasing. It is, therefore, imperative to understand why novice nurses are leaving the profession. This qualitative study explores Dutch novice nurses' motives for leaving the profession.
