Recent activities of titanium research and development in Japan

Abstract: The research and development of Ti and its alloys as well as progress in Japan’s Ti industries and markets are described. Academic and industrial advances and activities over the past four years, since the 13th World Conference on Titanium held in San Diego, USA, are overviewed.
