Recent advancements in transparent carbon nanotube films: chemistry and imminent challenges

Abstract: Carbon nanotube (CNT)-doped transparent conductive films (TCFs) is an encouraging option toward generally utilized indium tin oxide-depended TCFs for prospective stretchable optoelectronic materials. Industrial specifications of TCFs involve not just with high electrical performance and transparency but also amidst environmental resistance and mechanical characteristic; those are usually excused within the research background. Though the optoelectronic properties of these sheets require to be developed to matc… Show more

“…The tensile strength, electrical conductivity, sheet resistance, and light transmittance were 353.5 MPa, 725.6 S/cm, 40.6, and 36.8%, respectively, as shown in Tables S5 and S6. The tensile strength is higher than the reported values of similar materials. The sheet resistance is better than many other similar materials and is close to the best ones reported, as listed in Table S6. Moreover, our electrical conductivity is better than reported in other studies. , The electrical conductivity is not as high as that of copper and fibers, but carbon nanotube films are lighter than copper, more robust, and easier to operate than fibers.…”

“…Reliant upon the reactor's configuration and working positions, the operation also produces CH 4 and other more essential hydrocarbons (HCs) [125] . Generally, gasification may be described as the thermochemical transformation of a solid or liquid carbon-based substance (raw material) [126] , [127] within a flammable, volatile commodity with the stocks of a gasification factor (different gaseous aggregate). The gasification agent facilitates the raw material to be immediately transformed within gas using diverse heterogeneous reactions.…”

“…However, applying it to flexible optoelectronic devices is difficult due to its mechanical brittleness. Various mechanically flexible materials such as graphene, , conducting polymers, , carbon nanotubes, , and metal networks , have been researched. Among them, metal networks, including silver nanowires (AgNWs) and metal micromeshes, are expected to be the most promising candidates. ,, AgNW TCEs have shown T and R S values comparable to or even better than those of sputtered ITO thin films.…”
