Recent advances in heterogeneous catalytic transfer hydrogenation/hydrogenolysis for valorization of biomass-derived furanic compounds

Abstract: Catalytic transfer hydrogenation/hydrogenolysis can valorize renewable compounds derived from biomass. Different catalysts have the ability to transfer hydrogen from hydrogen-donor molecules thereby avoiding the use of hazardous gaseous hydrogen.
