“…The association between carbon and metal oxide nanomaterials may boost the overall physicochemical and optoelectronic properties to enable the flow of electrons at the contact. [133,[332][333][334][335][336][337] Using a one-pot thermal treatment technique, Jin et al developed cobalt-cobalt oxide/N-doped carbon hybrids (CoOx@CN) towards the efficient HER and OER (Figure 33a). As-grown CoOx@CN comprising Co, CoO, and Co 3 O 4 exhibited a modest onset voltage (85 mV), a modest charge-transfer resistance (41 U), and a high level of HER durability in 1.0 M KOH.…”

“…Graphitic carbon is often used as the supportive element to increase the conductance of hybrid electrocatalysts, and the capacity of carbon to be doped with adjustable hetero‐atoms grants it enhanced catalytic performance. The association between carbon and metal oxide nanomaterials may boost the overall physicochemical and optoelectronic properties to enable the flow of electrons at the contact [133,332–337] . Using a one‐pot thermal treatment technique, Jin et al.…”

“…Photocatalytic technology is an advanced technique for solving the water pollution problem caused by organic dyes and antibiotics. Bi-based compounds are effective photocatalysts for this process due to their nontoxic, relatively inexpensive, and highly photostable. Among Bi-based photoconductive compounds, Bi-based hybrid organic–inorganic halide perovskites (OIHPs, A 3 Bi 2 X 9 , A = organic cations, and X = Cl, Br, or I anions) have attracted attention because of their excellent photovoltaic properties, facile synthesis method, low cost, and high flexibility. In particular, Bi-based hybrid OIHPs have been extensively studied and used in photocatalytic processes. , Bi-based hybrid OIHPs have also been demonstrated to overcome the limitations of Pb-based hybrid OIHPs such as toxicity and instability in water, making them suitable for photocatalytic processes in aqueous solutions. , However, a Bi-based hybrid OIHP with a Cl halide anion has a large band gap . This renders it ineffective for photocatalysis when exposed to solar radiation.…”

“…Renewable sources such as hydrocarbons, coal power, petroleum, and oil play an important role in meeting most of the world energy requirements. Such sources, even so, will be depleting slowly, but surely [1,12,13] . Additionally, the overall energy required in order to meet the global demand is estimated to be nearly two or three times than that of currently available power sources by 2030 [14,15] .…”

[1,12,13] Additionally, the overall energy required in order to meet the global demand is estimated to be nearly two or three times than that of currently available power sources by 2030. [14,15] Consequently, making new renewable and green substitute power sources is critical in addressing the reduction of established carbon fuels and ensuring sustainable power generation.…”
