Recent Gamma-ray Results from DAMPE

Abstract: The Dark Matter Particle Explorer (DAMPE) is a space-borne high-energy charged cosmic ray and gamma-ray detector launched on December 17, 2015. After more than three years of operation in space, about 6 billion events are recorded, including 0.2 million photons above GeV energies. In this talk, we introduce some fundamental works of DAMPE. The preliminary results for the bright source list, the monochromatic gamma-ray line search and the pulsar analysis are also presented.

“…Among DAMPE recent results are the measurements of proton [13], helium [14] and electron/positron [15] fluxes. Preliminary results on 𝛾-ray observations were also presented [16]. These studies show interesting spectral features which help to push our understanding of the CR astrophysics and constrain the dark matter models [17][18][19].…”

“…S4 along with the counts map of LineSearch and BgoOnly data set between 5 and 450 GeV. Our ROIs are very similar to those of Fermi -LAT except that we do not mask the photons from detected point sources [58], which may slightly weaken our constraints.…”

“…Gamma-ray astronomy is one of the main scientific objectives of the DAMPE [52]. Thanks to its high energy resolution, the DAMPE is expected to play a key role in searching for monochromatic γ-ray line emission.…”
