Recent measurements of CP asymmetries of BϕK0 and BηKS

Abstract: Recent results on the mixing-induced CP asymmetries of B → φK 0 and B → η ′ K S measured at B-factories appear to indicate discrepancies from the Standard Model expectation. Explanation of this possible anomaly is given in the context of supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model. It is shown that the present data, if the average of two experiments is taken, implies additional CP violation appearing in the generation mixing of left-handed squarks rather than that of right-handed ones. This explanation is a… Show more

“…Therefore, it is not an easy task to get (δ d LR ) 23 of order 10 −2 . However, it was realized that with intermediate/large tan β, the double mass insertions could be quite relevant and may lead to an effective (δ d LR ) 23 of the required order even 3 with universal A-terms [14]. This can be seen from the explicit dependence of (δ d LR(RL) ) 23 on the LL(RR) mixing, which is give by…”

“…In Ref. [14], this contribution has been considered as an LL contribution to the CP asymmetry of B decay. This identification was given to indicate the type of large mixing in the squark mass matrix.…”

“…[183,184], the correlation between ∆S P P and ∆S P V depends on the chirality of the NP contributions. For example, we show in Fig.…”

“…This is due to the fact that the main SUSY contribution is still through the C 8g which is enhanced by the chirality flipped factor mg/m b . In the literatures [16], this contribution has been considered in analyzing the CP asymmetry of B → φK and it was called as LL contribution, as indication for the large mixing in the squark mass matrix and dominant effect of (δ d LL ) 23 . However, we prefer to work with the notation LR eff to be able to trace the effective operators that may lead to dominant contributions for different B decay channels.…”
