“…The ability of the DT3-CDs (or other CDs) to be cytosolic could make them useful for drug delivery, especially since many delivery systems have limited access to the cytosol where the drugs are needed for their mechanism of action. 46,47…”

“…In addition, how to control the precision of the required stimulus is also a problem that needs to be solved. Except for endosomal escape and stimulus-sensitive delivery, cytosolic delivery strategies of drugs also include penetrating peptides and fusogenic liposomes ( Son et al, 2023 ) ( Figure 4 ), such as penetrating peptides modified on nano-delivery vectors, which can be delivered into cytoplasm in a variety of ways. These cytosolic delivery strategies have been approved or used in the clinic.…”

“…Researchers successfully used liposomes to deliver therapeutic proteins such as antibodies, cytokines, and enzymes into mammalian cells. The phospholipid bilayer could retain the biological activity of proteins in the cavity, which could shield the damage to the extracellular matrix and endo/lysosomes in the cell to proteins [ 98 , 99 , 100 ]. These liposomes enter the cell through the endocytosis-mediated pathway.…”
